Confession: We change our minds about as fast as Emma Watson changed her hair after filming Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Our trends, our moods (it's really all very fleeting), but our love of color isn't. While we adore sunshine on our skin, chilled cocktail-filled mason jars and long days riding our beach cruisers into the sunset, we still get giddy over new nail shades for fall. At the beginning of spring we released 12 shimmery, vivid Target Exclusives, but we couldn't stop there. Enter the Something about Color collection. The four rich gems - Love You Cherry Much, Sounds Grape to Me, It's Not Me, It's Blue and Green Up Your Act - are the kind of lacquers that will have our nails begging for stability.

We can’t get enough of nail art, and from what we’ve seen neither can all you lacquer lovers. So this weekend when we attended the opening of Store 13 in Pasadena and met the diamond in the rough that is Patty, a cosmetology student with a knack for out-of-the-box urban nail art, we nearly fell apart with joy.

Fashion/personal blogger Alicia wanted a creative outlet to contrast the boredom she felt from her corporate job, so she started her blog Cheetah is the New Black. With two years under her belt, her site has become a stylish outlet of animal prints, delicious cocktails, DIY projects and pretty nails that reinforce our lacquer love. This month, Nicole by OPI finds out a little more about our Bay area blogger and gets inspired to find our own signature look. So let’s dive right in. Your site is called Cheetah is the New Black, when did you develop your love for cheetah and leopard print?

When we're having a rough day, nothing puts the wind back into our sail like striking nails. Sure a single hue keeps us beaming, but what bumps our mood from drab to fab is a glittery accent nail, a two-toned design or a burst of DIY nail art. Deciding to doll your tips up can be completely spontaneous. That's to be expected, we're girls who stay on trend! And while one day we want a creamy peach like You Can!, the next day "In your face" are the only words we want to utter when holding out our hand to show off our style. If you get the urge to go wild with your nails, but haven't invested in nail art brushes or spent a lot of time prepping, we've got you covered. Here are five household items that will make nail art a piece of cake and take your mani through the roof.

Some things will always live on-black stilettos, friendship bracelets, David Bowie, and frozen yogurt (we refuse to believe this is a trend!). Within that circle of things we hold near and dear are classic Nicole by OPI colors. They are the shades that accompany us to some of the most exciting events of our lives, and just like a best friend, they stick around and know our deepest, darkest secrets.  Nicole's classic shades aren't your run-of-the-mill hues, they are the type of colors that will get you noticed. They are timeless and over-the-top. With each of the below mentioned lacquers, you're not only completing your look, you're creating an identity.  Left to right: Light a Candle, Respect the World, The Right Thing, Virtuous Violet and No Limits.
What I Wore

When we met up with Jessica Quirk, owner of the personal style blog What I Wore, it was a rainy day in Indiana. Luckily, we quickly forgot about the gloomy June weather when Jessica opened up about her blog, her upcoming book, and her experience with Betsey Johnson (we were more than jealous). It only took us five minutes to realize we were having coffee with an incredibly smart and fashion-savvy Hoosier, and it shouldn’t take you much longer to see that her debut book, What I Wore: Four Seasons, One Closet, Endless Recipes for Personal Style, is a must for any woman who has ever said, “I have nothing to wear.” Tell me a little about your background?
